Sancho at the beach. We are a few miles from where his parents live. These beaches were pratically empty. The contrast between sitting on a beach in Goa and walking the streets of Delhi could not be greater.

Here is Sancho's mom. I highly recommend Hotel Pinto. His parents are very nice and his mom (and uncles, aunts, and cousins) certainly cab cook.

Me in front of a church in Goa. Goa was a portugese colony for a long time. In fact, it was still a colony 10 years after the rest of India became independant. Eventually, the India army marched in and reclaimed it and the Portugese turned tail and left.

Sancho checks the map. Note that the Lonely Planet guide is still in good condition. That's how I know this is still early in the trip. I didn't notice before, but I believe the girl in the background is Kate. We met her on the city tour in Delhi.
